Peter F. Sorensen, PhD, is Professor and Director of the OD Ph.D. Program and MSMOB programs at Benedictine University. He was instrumental in developing one of the first OD Masters Level programs in 1967. He is Past Chair of the ODC Division of the Academy of Management, and is currently on the executive board of AOM’s Management Consulting Division. In 1993, he received the “Outstanding OD Consultant of the Year Award” from the OD Institute. He has authored more than 200 articles, books, and best paper selections. His work has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, Group and Organization Studies, Leadership and Organization Development Journal, among others. He was the invited Guest Editor for the New Millennium issues for both OD Journal and OD Practitioner. Sorensen’s recent book is Strategic Organization Development with Yaeger.

Dr. Therese Yaeger – Guest Speaker

Dr. Therese F. Yaeger is Associate Professor, Benedictine University Organization Development (O.D.) and Master of Science in Management and Organizational Behavior (M.S.M.O.B.) programs. She has authored numerous papers and books, including Global Organization Development: Managing Unprecedented Change with Sorensen and Head (2006), and “Assessment of the State of Appreciative Inquiry: Past, Present and Future,” in Woodman and Pasmore’s, Research in Organizational Change and Development (Elsevier), and Strategic Organization Development: Managing Change for Success (2009, Information Age Publishing). Yaeger is Division Chair of the Management Consulting Division of Academy of Management, and Past President of the Midwest Academy of Management.

Therese and Peter, both faculty members at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, are editors and frequent contributors to the Organization Development Journal. In addition, they have either authored or co-authored dozens of books and articles on Organization Development and International OD.
