Peter F. Sorensen, PhD, is Professor and Director of the OD Ph.D. Program and MSMOB programs at Benedictine University. He was instrumental in developing one of the first OD Masters Level programs in 1967. He is Past Chair of the ODC Division of the Academy of Management, and is currently on the executive board of AOM’s Management Consulting Division. In 1993, he received the “Outstanding OD Consultant of the Year Award” from the OD Institute. He has authored more than 200 articles, books, and best paper selections. His work has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, Group and Organization Studies, Leadership and Organization Development Journal, among others. He was the invited Guest Editor for the New Millennium issues for both OD Journal and OD Practitioner. Sorensen’s recent book is Strategic Organization Development with Yaeger. NEXUS 4 Change is proud to announce partnering with The International Society for Organizational Development (ISOD – www.theisod.org) to bring you this webinar. Dr. Sorensen and Dr. Yaeger will present research gathered from around the globe including Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. This program reviews and discusses major approaches to global and international organization development including major ways of thinking about differences in national cultures, economic development, and political systems and their implications for the practice of major OD interventions including successful global and international OD work. Therese and Peter, both faculty members at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, are editors and frequent contributors to the Organization Development Journal. In addition, they have either authored or co-authored dozens of books and articles on Organization Development and International OD. |
